SBCAS works closely with SB County Animal Control as well as many rescue groups within the city and county to rescue and find homes for animals, no matter what kind.
With the beach and ocean such a part of daily life in Santa Barbara, it’s crucial to have a local group for rescuing marine life. The Santa Barbara Marine Mammal Center assists stranded sea mammals, including sea lions and seals.
The Santa Barbara Bird Sanctuary actively works to rescue and rehabilitate injured, orphaned and abused parrots and other companion birds. They are involved in the community, promoting responsible bird ownership through education and owner support.
