“Real” and “Generous”, those are the first two words that come to mind after meeting Sandra Bullock tonight. Sandra Bullock was the guest of honor for the second night of the 2010 Santa Barbara International Film Festival. She arrived on schedule and was generous with her time, almost to a fault. Sandra addressed every single inquiring reporter on the red carpet and posed for each photographer. Her chin was never too high to miss a question or acknowledge a smile. Sandra graced Santa Barbara with poise and enthusiasm.
Inside the Arlington Theatre, while playing with the audience, Sandra joked that Santa Barbara has been good to her. Sandra’s humor and ability to laugh at herself put everyone at ease. Forrest Whitaker, a former Santa Barbara International Film Festival award recipient, had the honor of presenting the American Riviera Award to Sandra in appreciation for the impact she has had on American cinema.
